Why Do People Joke?
Hahahaha o that was hilarious hahahahahahaha.
Jokes, jokes, and more jokes. It seems like us humans have rapidly become comedians over the past decade.
Us humans make fun of everything from hair color, to clothes we were, to the dreams we chase.
People make fun.
But why people joke?
First.
That shit is a joking matter.
I know it seems simple but sometimes the world needs some laughter and joking. There is defintely nothing wrong with humor and making people laugh.
Sometimes that epic one-liner comes to you and the circumstances present itself and BAM.
One -liner.
Everyone laughs.
Hahahahahahahaha.
Second.
Another reason people joke is they are afraid.
They make fun of a person's dreams, a person's appearance, a person's life because they are afraid.
Afraid of someone different then them.
Afraid of someone who does shit.
Afraid of someone who loves them selves and know who they are.
This is a rarity for humans to figure out so it makes sense why humans are so afraid of it.
They are afraid of others and joke about them because #3.
Third.
They can't deal with a certain situation so they make fun of it.
For whatever reason their brain can't comprehend the magnitude or scope.
So what do they do?
They make fun.
And it's what humans do their whole lives.
Remember the bullies and people who used to make fun of others in school growing up.
You know where most of them are now?
Hahahahahahahahaahahaha.
They are telling jokes.
Because they can't understand this game we call life, so what do they do?
They make fun of it.
So now they went from making fun of an individual to making fun of this game we call life.
So what do they do?
They stop taking their life seriously.
They let themselves go.
Eat whatever they want.
Drink whatever they want.
Do whatever they want.
Why?
Because life is a joke for them. And the joke is on everyone else who is trying.
That's how they live. It's how they comprehend living and it's how they are able to wake up every morning and live without being able to stare at themselves in the mirror.
So next time you make fun of someone of something, take a step back.
And ask yourself, why the fuck am I making fun of another human soul?
Why do I think this will make me feel better?
Why do I like putting down another human being?
And the best question is:
Who is listening?
Because there is one being that hears all the jokes of the world.
"It's" like comedy night all day every day for "it."
Hearing all these people joking at each other.
The ones doing shit, trying to inspire change. Get attacked, crucified, and made fun of.
The ones stuck in their mazes. Stay safe and secure.
But that's for now.
Just wait until the shift happens and this shit doesn't fly anymore.
People making fun of others because:
it actually is a joking matter,
they are afraid, and
they can't comprehend or deal with a situation.
Next time you make fun of someone or something. Take a stop back and ask yourself:
Why Do People Joke?
Thank you as always for your time, support, and attention. It means the world to me :)

Very interesting. I think you did a good job pointing out how humor can be a mechanism used by one's ego to create a sense of superiority over another person. In some ways and for some individuals, humor is used as a form of social aggression in order to create dominance and status among a group. For instance, in a bully type situation the bully may hold a higher status within the group and exert their dominance over another individual with lower status by ridiculing and making fun of them. The bully's status within the group is then either inflated or deflated depending on whether or not their followers are receptive to the ridiculing behavior or whether they ignore it/ stand up against it.
I think that on a positive side though, humor connects individuals. Humor can be used to lighten a mood or allow for individuals to relate to one another.
It seems to me that in both case (positive and negative uses) humor is a social adaptation of our species. Nice post.
Really got me thinking.
Heck yeah I agree completely with both points you make and like you aid both a form of us humans adapting over time in social situations.
I feel like one of the important things is to be self-aware and aware of these sides to humor. That way we can stop ourselves or identify it in others to help.
Thank yo so much fro your time and attention. I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to read this :)

I agree that being aware of how we use humor is key. In that way we can better understand ourselves and also be more aware of our impact on others.
:)
Amen amennnnnnnn. You might have to write on this ;)
Thanks. Maybe I will at some point. However, good posts draw out good ideas. I probably wouldn't be able to do this on my own.
Ayy team work makes the dream work my friend :)
Humor is indeed needed, but you show a good vision on those who only joke to make fun of people for the reasons you layed out here. Nice post as always! The David James Lees quote is a nice touch!
Thank you my friend appreciate your feedback.
I love that quote, once I found it it helped me clear my thoughts for whatever reason. So I thank him a lot.
And righttt humor in itself isn't bad. Life is funny.
But it's when you are lowering people's frequencies with it, then it becomes a problem in my opinion.
thanks for reading and caring.
God bless.

Beautiful post Chief. I'm pretty quick with a joke myself, and I think a good laugh once on a while is much needed; however I definitely agree that we shouldn't make jokes about another human's situation, dreams, etc. Life isn't always easy, and everyone is figuring it out the best they can, so we must be supportive of one another. Cheers buddy.
Amen my friend amennnnnn. We can't take life too seriously like you said it's important to joke with yourself.
But sometimes we don't realize what the other person is or has gone through.
I love laughing but not at the expense of others ya dig.
Thank you so much for your words. I was hoping some people would care and read it.
Thank you for that.
God Bless.

There is a huge huge difference between laughing with someone and laughing at someone. One is the best thing in the world. The other isn't.
Be careful which you are doing.
Amen my brother amennnnnnnn.
Freakin love ya.
God bless.
