The Stars Move In A Circle
Notice all the stars are still up there, but in different parts of the firmament and if you think about it they move in a circle in a fixed position. Well, not counting the wandering stars, that is.
Remember the mention of the wandering stars in Jude? As it is written, Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. Jude 1:13.
Of course if you want to know more about the wandering stars then you might want to check out the book of Enoch. This book of Enoch is not in our Bible, but Jesus and Jude did reference it so I would count the book of Enoch as scripture.
Well, lets get back to the stars. It is mentioned in the early part of the Bible, as it is written, And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: the stars also. Genesis 1:16.
These were the lights that were place in the firmament as it is written, And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Genesis 1:14.
People have forgotten the firmament as the doctrine the is taught is that there is not a firmament. Some might even say, What is this firmament? It is the dome that vaults our atmosphere and also it houses the sun, moon and stars.
So if this is true, then one must cast away the teachings of man. As they will make you believe that it is a Star Trek and Star Wars type of world.
They do not know that there is no way to break through the firmament and of course if they really understood that there is a firmament then we can let the space programs die.
It is surprising on who wanted us to look into the firmament, that would be Wernher von Braun of NASA. You see he seen the lie and wanted people to look into the firmament, but I would guess that he couldn't do that while he was alive, but at his death, who can do anything about it?
You see on Wernher von Braun's grave stone he had Psalm 19:1 written, Well, you might be asking, what did it say? As it is written, To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Psalm 19:1.
There are a lot of people looking into the firmament, but most of the world does not even know that it exists, even people that read the Bible. I would have to admit that I didn't even understand that word, firmament, but after awhile I got more of a picture of it.
So some plan on going to Mars one of these days, but we cannot go to that wondering star, as it is still in the firmament. We must also see that the firmament is firm, it is strong. Let's look to Job, as it is written, Hast thou with him spread out the sky, strong, as a molten looking glass? Job 37:18.
So this firmament which is strong as a molten looking glass and is also known as the handywork of God, houses the sun, moon and stars. Can you see that the stars go in its circuit from night to night? Also this firmament is so strong that it can hold back the waters that is above the firmament.
Remember that the firmament also divided the waters that were above the firmament, from the waters that were below the firmament, as it is written, And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which under the firmament from the waters which above the firmament: and it was so. Genesis 1:7.
So this firmament is holding a tremendous amount of water which is above the firmament. This reminds me of another scripture, as it is written, Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that above the heavens. Psalm 148:4.
You remember from Paul's writings of the third heaven? As it is written, I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 2 Corinthians 12:2. So we can see that there is three heavens.
I would say, that space between the land and under the firmament is one heaven or you can even say where the birds fly. Then there is the firmament itself that is also known as heaven. As it is written, And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. Genesis 1:8. I would call the firmament, where the sun, moon and stars are, the second heaven. Then above the firmament, that I would call the third heaven, this is where God resides.
Of course to have a firmament we would also have to have an earth that is established and is not moved. As it is written, Say among the heathen the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. Psalm 96:10.
Let's end with a scripture, It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: Isaiah 40:22.
