Well, I'm not sure if the M&S brand name is even known in other countries, but here in the UK, everybody has heard of it. And it's a damn blessing for me for the merchandise sold in there is definitely a cut above the rest. In comparison to other leading food supermarkets.
Hence, my wife loves to shop there and before I discovered this particular branch, I'd always had to chauffeur her to the previously closet one which was miles away (taking parking the car into consideration too). So, this place is just the ticket!
I still don't know why, but for some reason I have to be present while she shops. It's not like I help out or anything. Quite the contrary as I'm fully aware of how annoying I can be. Constantly telling her to hurry up or else threatening to get into a strop. Who needs that, right?
So thank heaven for this place. She can now walk it there whereas I can be left in peace and enjoy living in a world of unburdened freedom. For a while, at least. :)

Yes, we have it here in Singapore. I used to like their Lemon Fish but they stopped selling for some reason. I suspect no many people has as weird a taste bud as me. :-)

M&S (sic Marks & Sparks - Marks & Spencer) is an icon that existed well before US retail store counterparts and online equivalents. It has always been great value so I can understand why your wife likes it.
Sadly some 100 of these stores will be closed by 2022 - so may I suggest you start planning for post M&S:-)
