Yes but the court takes a lot of money. If we talk about a long case with poorer people the court may take away your home just to pay the court costs, because they summon all kinds of physchologists to examine the parents if there was a suspicion of abuse in the family ,and it easily drains all your savings by the time the divorce is over.

Not to mention the trauma that children are exposed too when their parents divorce, if the divorce takes months, and every time the kids are dragged there. It is a very bad thing to do to children.
