Greetings @offgridlife I happened upon your post this morning. Just the kind of stuff I like. In fact you may find a very recent post of mine, "Shamans Journey" to be of interest . I discuss this very thing. Also I am going to use your Einstein quote in a series on war I'm writing. Oh, and don't know if you are aware or not but there is a community called Stewards of Tera Mater organized by @wwf that are primarily homesteaders/off griders. Seems to me you'd find friends there.
