But I'll tell you what hermits realize. If you go off into a far, far forest and get very quiet, you'll come to understand that you're connected with everything. - Alan Watts
Just a few thoughts for the day.....

"The Beloved is all in all; the lover merely veils Him; The Beloved is all that lives." - Rumi
“A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” - Albert Einstein

An inspired gathering of religious writings that reveals the "divine reality" common to all faiths, collected by Aldous Huxley"The Perennial Philosophy," Aldous Huxley writes, "may be found among the traditional lore of peoples in every region of the world, and in its fully developed forms it has a place in every one of the higher religions."
With great wit and stunning intellect—drawing on a diverse array of faiths, including Zen Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Christian mysticism, and Islam—Huxley examines the spiritual beliefs of various religious traditions and explains how they are united by a common human yearning to experience the divine. The Perennial Philosophy includes selections from Meister Eckhart, Rumi, and Lao Tzu, as well as the Bhagavad Gita, Tibetan Book of the Dead, Diamond Sutra, and Upanishads, among many others.
Greetings @offgridlife I happened upon your post this morning. Just the kind of stuff I like. In fact you may find a very recent post of mine, "Shamans Journey" to be of interest . I discuss this very thing. Also I am going to use your Einstein quote in a series on war I'm writing. Oh, and don't know if you are aware or not but there is a community called Stewards of Tera Mater organized by @wwf that are primarily homesteaders/off griders. Seems to me you'd find friends there. I'm one of the group. Blessings to you.

I first learned this concept from the great catholic mystic....Meister Eckhart ... but also from Black Elk and Spinoza and realized this is also what Jesus was teaching. It is a true revelation, revealed in all the Traditions. It is a radiance and a Light that exists and shines forth from all creation. We just need to open our eyes and see it. These ideas are found in the heart of every Mystical Tradition...... It is called the Perennial Philosophy.

As you have said these ideas are the heart of every Mystical tradition.
To day it's even clearer because we finally understand that every thing is energy in different densities and as such we are all one.
