Does unconditional love exist?
A lot of times, we have at least one reason why we love someone. However, we keep hearing about unconditional love: how true is that statement? In this context, I am referring to romantic love; the type which exist between lovers.
The truth is, something actually got us attracted to the person and should that thing be taken away, would our love remain? What really happens is that one or more things about someone got us attracted to the person, and when we get to know the person more, we may find other things that could make us love them more or less.
Now, is that not conditional love since the affection is centered on the certain things we found in the person? Should these things change, will our love remain? If you loved someone because the person is intelligent, would you still love that person if he suddenly becomes dumb?
