Sorry Excuse…

Every thing you do not matter what it. No matter who it hurts is ok as long as you say sorry. All Of my life I have seen people use this an an excuse for every bad behavior they have. The person that is perpetually late to everything always has some sort of excuse followed by the statement “Sorry”. The person that accidently on purpose cuts in line in front of you uses this to excuse what they just done. I could go on and on with a list of things people seemingly do on purpose and excuse their own behavior for doing you wrong with this word.

This word is acually to be used when you accidently do something to someone else. Like stumble a little bit and bump into some one. You say Oh Sorry. A ball rolls across the street and you run over it because you could not stop in time. The word sorry has become what people broadly use to excuse their own behaviors that they do not wish to put any effort into correcting. like dear your drunk again, whats a normal first response, I’m Sorry. The word sorry is actually an enabler for any bad behavior that one might have. Because it is used as the all forgiving excuse. I mean hey as long as you are sorry it is ok to do it. Hmm, Wonder why it does not carry any weight with the Judge in front of you who is listening to all your sorry excuses he has heard many times before as to why you do not have a valid drivers license. He knows your sorry, now that you are caught. And he looks at you and says being sorry does not change the fact that you broke the law when you was driving with an expired drivers license. You know the law, being forgetful is no excuse. In the above we have our answer. A judge makes it plain as day. If you are doing something wrong and you know it is wrong and you do it anyways, Saying your sorry is just you trying to excuse your own befuddled behavior.

I will give an example. Imagine me as a mechanic

Back in my beginning years as a mechanic I did not have a large master mechanic tool set yet. Just a beginner set. The other mechanics would let me borrow tools from them. But it was understood that if I borrowed a tool more than 3 times it was obviously a tool that I was going to use frequently so I should put it on my list to aquire soon. That same logic should be applied as a standard in the use of the word sorry. If you have to say your sorry over 3 times for doing the same thing again then that is what should trigger you to sit down and check your behavior and work towards correcting it. Makes sense to me. I personally use the word sorry when my actions inadvertently have a negative effect on someone. I use it when I am truely sorry and not as an excuse to excuse me repeating a bad behavior.

Sorry is not an excuse for bad behaviors. There is no excuse for them. and there is no excuse for a person that willingly knows that they repeat bad behaviors that have a negative impact on others and they do nothing to correct them.
