RE: What the world is like in March 2026
Oh, I'm still glad we don't have a TV... It's great to have you back! I hope you're doing well and that your grandchildren are bringing you lots of joy.
As for your question: the Chinese aren't an impulsive bunch; things are actually quite orderly there. Don't believe anything you see on TV (or on the internet ;-))
The only show I used to watch on TV was "The Curse of Oak Island" which is a exploration that has been going on for 13 years on an island in the Atlantic on the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. It stems from a discovery in the late 1700s of a "money pit." The searchers at that time had dug to a depth, and then the pit flooded. Apparently flood tunnels filled with coconut husk fibers were set up as booby traps. Further details about Oak Island can be found here. We stopped getting the TV signal a couple of years ago, but I still watch it via streaming.

The problem isn't with the Chinese people. It stems from the culture. Perhaps you can speak with people who lived in East Germany before the wall came down. The only problem with communism is people.
Have you ever seen a duck on a river? It is calm and serene above the surface but kicking like crazy beneath. Things might appear to be orderly in China, but I am afraid that is only on the surface.
