After seeing all the photographs submitted to the first Moments in Focus Photo Contest, it is time to announce the winner.

☀️ WHY THIS PHOTOGRAPH?
Choosing a winner is never easy, especially when photography can be interpreted in so many different ways.
For this first edition, I wanted the winning photograph to represent something more than a technically good image.
I chose @rumanaafroz's photograph because, for me, it feels like an appeal to the Sun.
That immense presence in our lives gives us warmth, energy and strength. The Sun reaches everywhere. It does not choose between borders, cultures, religions, languages or backgrounds.
It simply shines.
And perhaps that is a meaningful message for the first edition of a photography contest in a community where people from different places and different perspectives come together.
A small appeal for peace, understanding and respect among all peoples, from every corner of the world that the Sun can reach.
Photography has this wonderful ability to make us stop for a moment and see something through someone else's eyes.
And this photograph made me stop.
For that reason, it felt like the right image to begin this new journey.

A sincere thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in this first edition.
Every photograph brought a different perspective, and that is exactly what makes a photography community interesting.
This is only the beginning.
