One thing is clearly evident from these photos, @bashadow—one of these days, I need to make it up that way. :)

I am always impressed by scale. It's the hardest thing to capture in an image, which I think you've done as good as possible when taking a three dimensional view and putting it into a two dimensional format. I get frustrated any time I try to show depth because it all seems to go flat. The heights have to be really high, and the lows need to be really low.

I guess that's why they make movies in 3D (albeit, not so great), and IMAX and other formats—to attempt to give perspective. Still, in my experience, nothing can beat being there.

I got lucky that a boat was passing by, but that is a good area to get some foreground action and have a real nice background at the same time, and it does look a lot better in person.
