SLC S28 Week6 - SteemitTTD - Old signals & Railway junctions
Hello Friends ✨
🛤️ OpenTTD – Task 1 🚂
old train system
The main goal of this task was to use old type railway signals. For this, I first created a simple railway junction. Since it was called Four Branches, I created four separate railway lines on all sides. Here I created a four-way junction. Here I made it cross tension and I put the old dog signal here. Here I did not install any signals inside the junction.
Since this is an old signal, basically when a train passes through the junction, another train will wait. The picture above is what I tried to show. While one train is crossing a junction, another train is waiting for the road to clear. I have covered here as much as I understand about Old Signal and Basic junctions.
🛤️ OpenTTD – Task 2🚂
Here I will rebuild the old junction so that multiple trains can run at the same time without having to wait for the junction to clear. For this, I first created two loops on either side, which are connected from one rail line to the other. Then I made similar loops on the other two sides.
This time, I built two tunnels instead of the previous ones at the junction crossing. A bridge could have been used here. However, since I have never used tunnels, I have included both tunnels here.
Then I made small loops again at the beginning and end of the tunnel on both sides. Then I installed signals on all the railway lines. In the picture above, I tried to show the design of the entire railway line.
In the picture above, I tried to show three trains crossing a junction together and no one is waiting for the junction to clear. And the trains are running perfectly.
In the picture above, I'm trying to show two trains going to the same station, but they're using different railway lines.
This is how I connected the two resources together and started all the trains. All trains using this junction are operating smoothly on this stretch of road.
I would like to invite @kouba01 @sinthiyaa @kiwiscanfly and @dexsyluz to participate in this challenge.
