Gazania is a very attractive and colorful flower.
The most interesting aspect of this flower is its response to sunlight. Gazania flowers bloom fully only in bright sunlight. They close their petals when it's cloudy or in the evening. Therefore, it's best to plant them in a location that receives direct sunlight throughout the day.
Growing and Care Methods
Soil: Gazanias grow best in sandy, well-draining soil. They don't require very fertile soil.
Water: This plant doesn't require much water. It can tolerate drought. Water should be given only when the topsoil in the pot dries out, as standing water in the roots can cause the plant to rot.
Planting Time: In India, it is usually planted in early winter (October-November), allowing it to bloom profusely throughout spring and early summer.
Propagation: It can be easily propagated by seed or by dividing large plants.
