BLUE WATER IRIS
Paddling around the big island in the Carmans river I came across the Blue Water or Blue Flag Iris. What a delightful surprise. They grow at the water's edge in clumps like they were placed there by a gardener.
Blue Water Iris (Iris Versicolor) are perennials native to North America. Their rhizomes, (roots) are poisonous to humans and animals.

Stunning to find in the wild.
I, this group of purple orchids in water is really nice. I like purple and blue flowers. It is rare for this kind of flower growing in water. It is really beautiful!
Grows in fresh water.
This is really beautiful, like a daffodil!
Hello @ manorvillemike: You still find very good pictures on your trip on board your kayak or canoe ... it is not only to photograph particular species but to achieve it in its natural habitat, which is very special.
Greetings.
Yes look but no touching. :-)
