Perfectionism is not a bad. If you are aware of it and if you can stop it when you need, so that you can have a healthy relationship with yourself. With perfectionism, I think you can improve yourself and be a better version of yourself.
However, the danger of perfectionism is that you’re not aware and you are going too far. You usually external searches for perfection, but you can never seem to find or you create unhealthy expectations of ourselves that only set us up for failure and move us further away from our goals and happiness. Think about social media where you see everybody looks so perfect and their lives look so great and they’re beautiful and the phone apps you can use to make yourself look perfect. Everybody wants to look good.
Let’s challenge you to be imperfect and to embrace your imperfection. Always talk about the importance of self-care. Self-care is not selfish, it is self-love. And you with all of your imperfections and the struggles can be an excellent woman because you will be a compassionate and truly understanding yourself. An excellent woman will study the places where she struggles. And an excellent woman will apply tools and a trial and era to discover what supports her and what hinders her in her quest to thrive. Are you ready to embrace your perfect and imperfect parts and jump in hard first? That’ll definitely change your life.
