RE: PHOTOCHAIN Challenge TESTNET - Edition number 133 [ENG | ITA]
This was weird. I scrolled through my photos and noticed more and more places and cities I visited are without... Trees.
The photo underneath is taken in Den Bosch. The official name is: 's Hertogenbosch (meaning the Duke's Forest).
If you leave Central Station and walk straight ahead into the direction of the old, middle age centre you will passby the statue of the dragon placed at the roundabout and see the building as well. No idea what it is. It was too cold to cross the road.
building - tree - dragon

I love the golden dragon. I wonder why a monument with dragons in it.
An awesome entry, Wakeupkitty. Thanks for joining also this week. Welcome to the new edition and a big good luck! :D
The photograph is beautiful and striking. The dragon looks imposing—I’ll look up what it means. It really catches my eye.
From what I’ve been able to find out, the city was marshy in ancient times, and the dragon is a symbol of the city of the marshes.
Almost the whole of the Netherlands used to consist of marshland, and most of it lies below sea level.
The old little town is particularly beautiful; you can still take a gondola ride through the tunnels beneath the town. This is still on my wish list, but my daughter and I couldn’t do it at the time. It was simply far too cold, and we were only there for a short while. On the way home, we got off the train to have a look around here. Incidentally, this is the only way to see anything, as the train is incredibly expensive in the Netherlands. In that respect, it’s not surprising that people prefer to buy a car.
