SLC-S29/W1 | How to Photograph Mountains / Hills / Peaks by @ripon0630”

Hello friends, I hope you are all well. For the first week of the Steemit Challenge contest, I will be sharing How to Photograph Mountains. I would like to thank the organizers of this challenge, and without further delay, I am starting my participation.

A Visit to the BMA Bhatiary Hilly Area

I visited the hilly areas of BMA Bhatiary, which can be described as the starting point of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Due to the presence of these mountains and hills, this division is known as "Parbattya Chattogram" (Chittagong Hill Tracts). Since this area is controlled by the Bangladesh Military Academy, it is completely safe.

There is no ticket or entry fee required to visit this hilly region of BMA. However, as it is under military academy supervision, their rules state that the general public is not allowed after 6:00 PM. Otherwise, you can visit at any time or any day of the week.

I am not an expert in mountain photography, but I tried my best to test my skills for a contest's theme requirements. Using various camera tools like zoom-in, zoom-out, and exposure settings, I attempted to capture the mountain scenery beautifully.

When you visit this location, you will see not only hills but also a lake nestled between them. One cannot truly understand the pristine beauty of nature without coming here. Surrounded by high hills with a lake flowing in the middle, the view from afar brings a sense of immense peace to the eyes.

Reaching BMA is quite easy. Once you arrive at Bhatiary, you can find jeeps and CNGs running on the BMA-Hathazari link road. You can visit this place very conveniently for a fare of only 30 Taka/3.5 STEEM. I got off the vehicle and walked a bit to choose a beautiful spot.

Video Moment

Before starting the photography, I took a deep breath. It is perhaps difficult to find such fresh, dust-free mountain air anywhere else. After breathing it in, I gazed as far as my eyes could reach towards the distant hills and felt a sense of visual serenity. Then, I took out my device, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, to start shooting.

I took several photos, trying to capture the landscape of the hills and the lake using the zoom. Since it wasn't possible to capture every scene from a single spot, I moved up the road after finishing at the first location and walked toward the hills ahead to reach a second spot.

The second spot was even more beautiful. As it is currently winter, a bit of mist was visible over the distant hills. I’m not sure if it was actually fog, but the distant peaks looked beautifully hazy. The large trees on the hills were clearly visible and looked wonderful.

I captured some shots using the 3x telephoto lens. Although the clarity was slightly lower, the pictures taken with this lens looked exactly like a painting. After that, I visited a few more spots and tried taking photos from different angles.

Even though I am not an expert, I used all the camera lenses for both photography and videography. Finally, I took some shots with the wide-angle lens; despite some distortion, the wide shots looked very eye-catching.

The environment here is very peaceful. There are no neighborhoods or chaotic noises nearby. You can clearly hear the raw sound of the wind. Looking at the green nature, my eyes felt refreshed. But the attractions of the BMA hill tracks don't end there.

A wide road runs through the middle of the hills, connecting the people of the hill tracts with Chattogram. Honestly, the road was very clean and shaded. I walked along it for quite a while and truly enjoyed it.

If you visit this BMA hilly area, you too can enjoy these incredibly beautiful scenes of nature. In one place, you will find hills, lakes, and much more. Anyone visiting such a quiet, noise-free place is bound to find mental peace.

Good job bro but I will probably skip this contest this week since I have no plan to visit hills this week. I wish you all the best for this contest for lovely images you captured..

Thank you so much, dear. Many user might miss out since they don't have mountains nearby, particularly city dwellers. But many topics have been selected this season, everyone has more options for the contest.

It's not that because I am close enough to the Himalayas but I am not feeling okay to visit due to cold weather.

Okay. Got it. 😊
