In my opinion everything is due to low price of Bitcoin because Bitcoin have the Dominance on the Cryptocurrency market and when the price of Bitcoin falls then inturn it pull backs the price of Altcoins and let's hope that in future the Dominance will be decreased and i am really waiting for the launch of SMT's because in my opinion SMT's can change the face of Steemit Platform.
