That looks like an amazing place. I've never been to that part of the world, so this is obviously new to me and I'm really happy to see these photos. At least this is a way to "visit" the place if I can use that expression.
Those headstones are very interesting, have never seen such, although I've seen many because one of my steemian friends has a cemeteryphoto challenge. That is proof, it's a piece of history that needs to be protected at any cost. As I see, that's not a problem there, these stones are left there and nature is taking over, which is kind of cool :)
I agree with you, "life could be very short back then". They didn't have the life condition we have now, health care was non existent and doctors knew very little, and even if they knew what to do, maybe they didn't have what they needed.
Congratulations for the nice photos!
I think "visit" is an apt term. I like sharing my little slice of the world and also "visiting" other's little slices. :)
That cemetery photo challenge sounds interesting. I will have to look it up. There is a pioneer type cemetery (old and recent) near where I live that I have been meaning to get to and take some photos.
Thank you!
Please do! you can take photos and post them because this is not something unusual. It's interesting to see old graves from all over the world and new ones as well. My friend @melinda010100 is running the challenge.
