Bigtooth Aspen Dried Leaf

in #photography3 months ago

The Bigtooth Aspen! A fine tree, that one. It's not so much a flower we talk about here, but the leaves are a big thing, especially when they are finished for the year.

The leaves themselves are roundish, like a wide triangle, but the name tells you the main feature: they have these big, coarse, blunt teeth all around the edge. Not small and sharp, but large dents, you know?

In the fall, before they dry, the color is very beautiful bright gold, yellow, sometimes a mix of orange. But when they are dried, what you get is a thin, brittle leaf that keeps that unique shape and the coarse, jagged edge
