The part about selfies made me think of the new Goggle phone. You only have to say selfie or take a selfie and it takes the pic. Electronics are making it easier to be less involved in your own life and the life around you. I'm saying this while my 4 and 5 year old sons are clued to their tablets. As much as I hate electronics I understand their appeal.

Sort:  

I appreciate technology because of it I have interacted with amazing souls that otherwise I never would've. But. We also need to revive art and especially appreciate those who write prose.

The advantage of your sons sometimes getting glued to their screens is they might learn a futuristic skill that we didn't need in our times :)

I agree on all points and yes that is why I don't mind it too much. I do however, try to make sure they get outside, art, play, and reading time.
