Can You Afford to Build Your Own Home Gym

Before we go into selecting the types of equipment first we need to analyze our requirements and how can we meet these requirements on budget. Divide your workout day by day and then exercise by exercise to know what you need for your workout. Home gym can be created on a budget but it needs some space so first need is to have some space in your garage or any other part of home that should be covered so that you do not have to worry about weather outside.
Requirements of Different Workouts
Lets start with chest day. Chest workout must include bench press and dumbbell press. These exercises include a bench, a bar, weight plates and pair of dumbbells. Adjusting weight on bar will be easy but you will also need adjusting dumbbells so that you can perform your warm ups easily or you will have to change weights for different types of workouts.

You will also need adjustable bench so that you can perform different types of chest workout.

For shoulders you will have to perform all the workout with dumbbells and that's why they should be adjustable. For arm workout you will require an adjustable barbell however you can do compromise by using simple bar. For Legs you will need to change your workout technique a little instead of putting bar on back of your head on your neck, you will have to put it in front of your body.
You forgot a key element. Temperature control, as it gets very hot when you're working out in an enclosed space
