Homemade Green Ketchup with Mint and Coriander

I am extremely delighted to participate in the 5th week of Steemit Challenge Season 27 . Last week I made Ginger tomato ketchup which was very tasty and healthy. This week I will make Golden Turmeric Ketchup. Thanks to @afzalqamar. I believe this season I will get to know about Ketchup. So Let's hope for the best.

List all the ingredients used in making Green Ketchup with Mint and Coriander along with their correct quantities.

Making Process


Step- I

Arrange Ingredients

First I gathered all the ingredients. Then I washed the tomatoes and mint, Coriander leaves thoroughly with fresh water. The tomatoes, chilli, mint, Coriander leaves were stored in the fridge. So I took them out of the fridge.

Mint and Coriander leaves prepare

In this step, I separated the mint leaves and coriander leaves from the stems. I also separated the young stems so that the mixture would be smooth. Then I placed them in a perforated container so that the water could drain from the leaves. Here I used 1 cup of coriander leaves and mint leaves.

Cut Green chillies and boil

Then I cut the green chiilies . This step took 2 minutes. After that I pour 1/2 cup water in a pan and drop chilies. I boil them for 3 minutes.

Make green Pest

I mixed mint leaves and coriander leaves in a blender then add very little quantity of boiled chilli water to make the pest smooth. I also blend green chillies with it.

Add Vinager and salt


Then I add above mentioned quantities of vinager and salt. Blend it for another 45 second and my green pest is ready. I transferred the pest into a pot.

Cut tomatoes and Boiling time

Here I chopped the tomatoes into small pieces so that I could cook them easily. I chopped them with a sharp knife. It took only 3 minute because this week I use little amount of tomatoo. Then I put the chopped tomatoes in a pan. Here I used about a cup of water. Then I put a lid on it and let the tomatoes cook on low heat. After the tomatoes cooked for about 5-7 minutes.I turn off the stove and let them cool.

Make Tomatoo pest and Strain

I blended the cooked tomatoes. It took 1 minutes. After blending, I strained it using a sieve to remove any skins or other hard particles.

Final Step


In this step, I heat a pan and pour 1 tbs of oil. Then pour the bland tomato and cooked them on low flame. Then I slowly added sugar. I usally try to consume less sugar so I add little amount of sugar. Finally I pour my green pest and cook it for 1 minutes. It is so flavourfull. Then I place it in a serving dish and decorate it.


Present your final homemade ketchup to make it look attractive and well-prepared. Also use your name tag and date written on a paper. (2 marks)
