Where is it located and how to get here?

It is located in Rangpur district of Bangladesh.There are several bus stands in Rangpur district and this is one of them.To go to this bus terminal you have to visit Darshana first.Jig any autorickshaw driver in Darshan and they will bring you to this bus terminal.To come to the bus terminal from Darshana Mor, the fare will be 10 taka.This bus terminal is a very big bus terminal in Rangpur district.Many types of buses are available here. Like, Nabeel, Hanif, Shyamoli, BRTC,There are many other types of buses available. From here you can easily go anywhere.

A brief history of the Station, Founder, established period, if there is any communication medium.

Rangpur Central Bus Terminal was first built in 1981.It was then established and taken over by the Rangpur Municipality (under the supervision of the Rangpur Municipality).The news mentions the collaboration of the Rajshahi Division Development Committee in the initial construction and infrastructure.As a result, it is a public road transport hub built by local administrative initiative and not by a single individual "founder". For a long time (almost decades) the terminal was suffering due to lack of proper development and maintenance. Muddy water during short rains, particularly in the 2010–2017 report, shows its plight.This topic has been repeatedly discussed in the local transport, passenger and news.

The demolition of the old terminal and the construction of a new, two-storey modern “Rangpur Central Bus Terminal” started on 17 October 2018. Its initial project cost was around Tk 25.81 crore (co-financed by JICA and Government) and the cost is estimated to have increased to ~Tk 31 crore by the time the work is completed.Although the bulk of the construction work took place during 2018–2021, the timing changed with the official opening; The news of 2022 talks about waiting and preparing for the opening of the terminal.(Final opening schedule may vary as per local news/City Corporation announcements as the opening dates change).Rangpur Central Bus Terminal was first built in 1981, under the supervision of Rangpur Municipality.Hanif Enterprise (from Rangpur Bus Terminal) — 7:00am, 8:30am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm; 9:00 PM (AC), 10:00 PM, 10:30 PM, 11:00-11:15 PM, 12:00 Midnight — Bus departs on Dhaka/other routes during these times. Agomony Express — 7:30 am, 9:45 am; 3:00 p.m.; 10:30 pm, 11:30 pm these times leave from Rangpur.Buses ply from Rangpur to Dhaka route (both AC and non-AC); And the bus journey usually takes around 8–10 hours.

Rangpur Central Bus Terminal has long been one of the largest and busiest bus stations in Rangpur city.It is located in the "RK Road" area of the city, which is an important road of Rangpur Sadar and city policy.A newly constructed and modern terminal has been constructed in place of the old, dilapidated, waterlogged and potholed terminal.Two-storied building with a total area of 29,645 sq.ft.Ground floor: 14 ticket counters, three ATM booths, passenger seating area, luggage area, public toilets, food shop, drug store, parking area, refreshment room for drivers/conductors, day-care center etc.Second floor: Restaurant, children's play room, shops, offices (traffic department, control room, technical and administrative department), meeting room, VIP lounge and VIP room.Total Parking Space: There is parking space for around 500 buses.According to an October 2022 report, construction of the new terminal is "complete".Then in August 2023, this new bus terminal is considered to be inaugurated as a project under Rangpur City Corporation.As “Opening hours” of Rangpur Bus Terminal — Wednesday-Sunday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What are the facilities like? Electrical system, security system, etc.

In 2022, the Rangpur Central/Central Bus Terminal was constructed/renovated as “state-of-the-art”; It is said to have modern facilities including adequate parking, escalator, ticket counter, ATM booth, women's prayer hall, day-care center, food-convenience store, public toilet, baggage area, VIP room, control/traffic room and technical/admin office. There is also map/area guiding information about terminal location/layout, mohalla-connectivity and traffic contiguity — i.e.

it is centered on Terminal Road/Terminal Road area of the city and nearby services (hospitals, colleges, markets etc.) are easily matched. Emergency services (ticketing system, control room, contracted lifts/escalators, emergency lighting, fire alarm and CCTV) must be run through standby generator and/or UPS in case of main power (DISCO/Grid) failure. Generators should be maintained and tested in accordance with NFPA 110. Fire alarm, emergency lighting and security system circuits shall be kept separate from common load circuits so that the common line-They are intact in failure. BNBC has instructions for such segregation.

Building

It would be good to mention if there are any restrooms, toilets, etc. for passengers here.

Rangpur Bus Terminal apparently has planning and construction of “toilet and restroom/waiting-area”. But currently — as a passenger you cannot guarantee that the toilet is usable, clean or functional. That is, despite the convenience, the practical reality (toilet on, clean, clean, waiting-area decoration) is in doubt.

How is the work exchange here? How much is the transport ticket price for how many kilometers?

As per trip: Driver ~ Tk 1,350, Supervisor ~ Tk 570, and Helper Tk. Most bus routes, especially long distance and private buses. Pay is fixed on “per trip” basis. So the monthly income depends on how many trips are taken in a month,on how much the bus fares/charges etc. In many cases companies or owners do not dress the gazetted minimum salary. As a result the actual salary received is less than the official minimum.

Rangpur Bus Terminal is currently one of the most important and modern bus terminals in North Bengal.Due to its passenger-friendly environment, modern facilities, and fast service, it has made commuting easier and more comfortable for countless people every day.Passengers are naturally satisfied and impressed as the overall management of the terminal has improved significantly in recent years.The environment inside the terminal is now much more consciously maintained.Floors, seating areas, ticket counters and toilets are kept clean through regular cleaning operations.This creates a positive impression in the minds of the passengers.There is sufficient seating space in the terminal. Long distance travelers can also rest here for a while.The seating benches are relatively new, clean and nicely arranged.There are separate counters for different bus routes.Passengers can easily collect bus company tickets.Line management is also pretty good.As a result, there is less chaos even in overcrowded areas.
