Main bridge

What kind of Famous Tourist Spots have you visited? Briefly introduce yourself.

The location that I am going to share with you is a historical bridge. And this bridge was built during the British era.
The bridge is about 8 to 10 kilometers south of Sonagazi. There is a gate below this bridge to control the water during the monsoon and it can also be called the main gate of the Muri Project. The main gate of the Muri Project controls the water around it and this river is connected to the winding Bay of Bengal.

How were the activities, services and facilities at this place? (With pictures + prices, videos)

During the monsoon, the water is controlled through this gate and bridge. Especially in various rural areas, when water fills up due to monsoon, if the gate here is released, the water goes directly to the Bay of Bengal. Many times, when the tide comes from the Bay of Bengal, it is gradually blocked and arranged so that it does not enter the village much through this gate.

And I think this is the biggest advantage for the locals. If this main projector had not been there, it would have been seen that the villages would have been submerged under water. So I think this is a very important bridge. I went there in the afternoon, so I took some pictures and videos on Prachanda Road and am presenting them to you.

Some systems have been specially made here to stop this water. When the tide comes, these gates are released and during the low tide, some gates are open and some are closed to let the water slowly go down. The gates here are very heavy and there is a separate machine to open and close these gates. The machines are operated and closed here at specific times.

Not all the gates are opened. The gates are opened according to the water flow. You can go over this bridge towards Chittagong, but no heavy vehicles are allowed on this bridge. Since it is a sensitive sector and if this bridge is not there, everything will be taken away by the water flow. So to avoid damage to the bridge, trucks or any heavy traffic are prohibited from moving in this direction.

Share your experiences of that place as a Curious Explorer.

It was quite nice to go there because there is a bridge and small vehicles moving above, and also people are fishing all around the gate below. Fresh fish can be bought there because they are auctioned and sold directly after coming from the river.

Although there is a store there, many people buy fish from the ghat before going to the store. The weather, the atmosphere, the air, and the cleanliness of the place impressed me, so I shared the place with you. I hope you like the video. Thank you very much to everyone.

This particular Sonagazi bridge is very beautiful to look at and has a visible waterfall in the structure below. I was also very happy to know that it is controlled by a switchgate. This is a very good way to control the water. There is a pleasure in fishing on the bridge. However, the fishermen here are very hardworking and enjoy the pleasure of fishing in their good deeds. Thank you for sharing your skills in taking these interesting photos along with the design and structure of the bridge. I certainly wish you success, thank you.
