Assalamu Alaikum. Greetings Steem Sri Lanka community! How are you all? I hope that by the grace of Allah, you are all doing well. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am also doing well. I pray to Allah that we are always doing well.

Today I want to share with you a wonderful moment from my childhood. However, childhood stories always make me very happy. Today I want to write to you about the experience of playing Latim in my childhood and its impact in real life.

I had many favorite games in my childhood and one of them was playing Latim in my childhood. When I was very young in my childhood, I used to play Latim a lot. Basically, I liked playing Latim very much.

After waking up in the morning, I would go out with Latim. Basically, it is usually a rainy season sport. During the rainy season, when it rained heavily and the roads were wet, I would play Latim with my friends.

I still remember it well. I used to collect wood from the acacia tree. After collecting the wood, I would bring it home and make a beautiful latim. It would take at least 1 to 1.5 hours to make a latim.

Once the latim was made, I would insert a nail into it. After inserting the iron nail, it had to be rubbed and worn down again. It would take us another 30 minutes to remove the coating on the nail head. We would especially use the stairs of the mosque to remove the coating on that nail.

Then my friends and I would start playing latim. We would make a circle and everyone would spin our latim together. The one who could spin the latim and pick it up in his hand the fastest would be the fastest. Here we would consider one person as a thief. Then we would put a stick inside that circle and attack with our fast latim.

It was a wonderful childhood game.

However, when I went to the market, I saw some small boys playing Latim. Originally, their Latim playing moment made me very happy. However, now the game has been slightly modified.

When we played Latim in childhood, we used to make them ourselves with acacia or hard wood. However, nowadays, boys lack a lot of creativity. As a result, they are now buying Latim from shops and they are playing Latim.

When I was going to the market in the afternoon, I saw some boys playing Latim. Their moment of playing Lati made me very happy. When I saw Latim playing, I stood there for quite some time. Anyway, it was much better. Even though there are many differences between our game and theirs, I still enjoyed the whole thing a lot.

People always remember childhood memories. With the evolution of time, people lose themselves in this troubled world. We are now quite tired of being troubled. However, when we see a real childhood memory, we go back to childhood and we remember our childhood days a lot more.

On my way to the market in the afternoon, I saw a Latim game. I waited there for about 30 minutes and enjoyed their game activities. Basically, the game that boys and girls are enjoying now is a really beautiful moment for them. Because once someone loses their childhood, it is never possible to return to that childhood. These children of childhood will never understand how sweet a time they are currently passing through. They will gradually grow up and they will miss these childhood times. Just as you and I miss childhood now, they will also miss their childhood days one day.
