RE: @sweetsssj is the largest abuser of last minute upvotes!

in #steem7 years ago

Oh… Another negative post with accusations in an attempt to damage someone’s reputation.

I think I should share an opinion here as I have followed @sweetsssj for a long while now and feel this is a little unjust.

It’s actually sad and disheartening to see all these derogatory comments towards that a person who has dedicated time, effort and money in an attempt to bring great content to this platform. Is this what some of the community wishes to do in attempt to shun a genuine person that works hard on steemit?

Sure, I appreciate some of you crying out about blatant reward pool rapes and it’s fine to have discussion to a meaningful solution. But buying votes to call out someone who actually puts in real work into this platform is not the way forward. This post is really pointless and just incites negativity, almost abusive in itself. I can already see internet warriors slurring distasteful comments without having any real clue of the issues this platform really faces.

Perhaps you could have asked her directly rather than paying for pointless votes. I don’t think this is a user that has just setup here to abuse the system and move on, this is someone who has committed to steem and is contributing to the platforms growth in their own way.

The posts from her that I have seen and read over the past few months have been nothing far from quality in TWO languages. There is no ‘scam’, this is someone who produces quality content on the platform and has taken the time to build a repertoire. She responds to her comments and listens to the people who reach out to her. I’ve even had my own comments responded to in a sea of literally hundreds of other ones and I can see this a person who really cares about the work they are doing.
She is going out in the real world and spreading the steemit brand, growing the community. Clearly people recognise this and have given her delegation. What is wrong with supporting someone who is trying to contribute to the growth of steemit?

From her responses a few days back, I see no issue with upvoting a friend or family member. She serves as an ambassador in China, a place that quite could get on without steemit just fine but she’s bridging the gap to help the platform grow in an otherwise untapped demographic. A country where the Internet and cryptos are heavily censored, I feel what @sweetsssj does for steem is commendable and that’s far more than a lot of the commenters on this thread are willing to dedicate to steem.
With regards to upvoting last minute, maybe it’s an oversight. Can you imagine your friends and family asking you to upvote stuff at different times while you’re just simply BUSY? Like who cares if she’s doing it last minute or not. The message I am seeing here is – “Please upvote asap so people don’t point fingers, it is more valuable to everyone and we don’t care if it’s to support someone you know”.

If someone is last minute voting lesser quality content to encourage more frequent production (and better quality as it progresses) without knocking down the visibility of other posters on steemit who cares.

It’s easy to point fingers and call everyone a scammer / moron here but I really think you’ve got it wrong. If she was just posting random garbage and not really contributing anything it may be a different story. But I can see real people writing content and she has helped raise visibility for users all over the world.

It would be a shame to see her post less because of these accusations and I hope we see more from @sweetsssj and hopefully lots of other inspired users follow her success. I’ve showed loads of my friends / colleagues her posts and they eventually tried steem out partly because of it. If I go around showing all these accusation threads people will simply assume once again, crypto sucks and we are left talking to ourselves.

We are such a small community, we should not be raising pitch forks and pointing fingers at people who mean well here. Hope you guys can see a positive light in constructive discussion and keeping our top personalities growing Steemit.

Keep on steeming people.

Peace.

It's like Lord of the Flies here. Bunnie, with -17 rep, is using his sock puppet Steemit accounts to abuse the flagging process, and go after Steemers that post contrary opinions.

This really sucks how these people act and it doesn't make people want to cross over to the new steemit platform! I find it rather disgusting how someone new like myself can be downvotrd by 15 different people, just because they don't agree with your opinion! I had actually written a nice respectful reply to someone else on here, only to be downvoted! I thought the steemit community wasn't like this!?
