Is steem undervalued right now?
I'm wondering with the recent under performance of Steem if it's oversold to much compared to for example Ethereum? But it's really very hard to compare, kind of like apples and oranges. Steem has it's own problems and advantages.

I actually feel it is undervalued at the moment. One main reason for that would be the fact that building DApps on Steem is much more easier than Ethereum, because of the greate API and use of already-known programming languages.
Gas Price and Transactions Per Second are another factors that make Steem much more efficient and economical when compared with platforms like Ethereum.
I check the market this morning and Steem was at .32. A good time to buy as much as possible. I don’t have a lot of steem dollars but I use them to acquire as much steem as possible. When I first joined Steemit it had reached more than a dollar and I have confidence it will rise again.
Steem is becoming well known with the help of so many devoted people on the blockchain. I got an email the other day from Niffler: “Congrats @Steemit & the entire #Steemit community for an amazing collaborative effort! We are amazed how hard you all worked! Traders from around the world can now learn more about Steem & Steemit thx to all of YOU!”
I think steem is highly undervalued but considering it came from 8 cents to what it is now isn't the worst uplift. I think we just suffered more duing the bare market because we had the most noobs and non-invested stake holders than any other blockchain
Any blockchain looking to build dapps and communities that aren't completely money hungry will struggle you can see this with the people holding EOS and ETH and the projects built on there its all about money and nothing else
I think steems community is one of its greatest assets and I agree not enough marketing has been done and to keep and retain users, but we will figure that out over time
I think it is but then again I thought it was undervalued at $3. I think RC is hurting STEEM and its Dapps like Steemit.
A problem for steem could arrise from the more and more failed proof of brain system. When the majority of people only reward their own steem power using the vote exchange bots it can become more and more unatractive to get in for newbies and therefore decrease the demand and price for steem. Owners of steem could end up gaining more and more steem through interest but ending up with less value.
Dear @niel96, your question is very interesting, i agree with you that steem value in undervalued if we see our community and active members what are doing, but this is not enough, till we will have such management i do not see bright future, many new coins came and overtaken steem in market cap, now we are not even more in first 50 positions, something is wrong with it, what do you think?
@niel96, We cannot compare because every Economy holds it's own dynamics. But in my opinion Steem is more community backed and there are diversified ways to create use case. And i am hoping that with time value of Steem will rise because currently we are in Transforming stage.
Both environments are different but one of the big issue with Steem blockchain is a lot of liquid steem on the free market and people send them on exchange constantly. The liquidity is not there and only around 1 million of trading volume on a 24 hours time frame.
The price is related because of more sellers than buyers.
Undervalued? Yes.. I'm curious since steem-engine is online what effect this will have on the steemprice and if this year will become a boomer thanks to it for example. Greetz
