RE: Lets turn Steemit into a MMORPG !

in #steem7 years ago

I must admit that the first part of your post had me turning green with envy.

I have long since given up on a team of developers turning my ideas into a reality. This is why I am learning 2D vector art and animation - with my sights set on becoming competent in Unity - because this is a mountain that I've decided to climb - even if I am still on the plains - with or without help.

In other words - Good on you.

On a more serious note - have you given appropriate thought to how the rules of your game might affect Steemit user content creation - both in terms of quantity and quality?

Thanks for your comment and interesting question.

First: It cost me almost 10 years to create a team that works. :-)

Second: I will not be able to control quality. there will be always someone who wants to trick the system.
but in our algorithm we want to have some influence, reputation, posts, comments, how old the last post is, how old the last comment is. of course, we must now explore, what's the best middle way and what's work.

Ten years well-spent by my reckoning. :c)

It is good to hear that you are taking on board anti-exploitation as a design consideration. It'll be interesting to see what you produce in a month's time.

Awesome ideas! I hope you add an upper limit too post influence so spammers dont have an advantage simply for spamming.

in the next days we will show a whitepaper, then everyone can participate in the discussion :-)

Cant wait to read it! Will be following closely

a little patience is needed, but dont worry like already said we are commited 100%
