I only ever read reddit, but I'd think that it's fine to re-post when you're giving full disclosure about why, readers appreciate that. That being said, it's completely permissible to re-post every day, but I would warn someone that their reputation would walk off a cliff.

We're all finally free to do as we wish, here on Steemit. Some will definitely walk off that cliff, but others who re-post with full disclosure/taste could see a whole new conversation with a whole new audience, and a legit financial reward for generating the discourse.
