RE: 2 Year STEEM Anniversary!!!

in #steem7 years ago

Happy 2nd Anniversary to you man, crazy how much time flys! I'll never forgot how much you have guided my journey here also. So here's to another two years and $25 STEEM!

Thanks man! It has been some crazy roller coaster and I liked in your Anniversary video how you talked about eating dirt. I have been using that saying since then! Hahhaha

Hey buddy, watching both @brianphobos journey as well as yours has been incredibly inspiring and both of you have really shaped my experience on here for the positive. Both of you are interesting guys, hard workers, great content creators and have done a lot to move forward this community.

One thing I'd love to see on Steemit in general and I think you would be the perfect person to initiate since you know the platform so well, have made so many connections and have your Steemit Minute show.

One thing I notice on here is oftentimes the people who do the most for the Steemit community and the people who are truly ambassadors for Steemit often don't profit monetarily and in the case of Steemit many times the people who do the least for Steemit and who are very self centered are the ones who tend to reap the rewards.

To make it a basketball analogy, there's often players who are instramental to the success of their team, but don't get the same recognition as the star player or big scorer, but that guy putting up big points couldn't do so without that other guy passing the ball to them perfectly, moving the ball around the court to open up shots for them, etc.

I see people like @brianphobos @yungchief and many others, too many to mention who do so much to grow adoption and bring new peope on and support people but that in and of itself doesn't really translate into growth on the platform or money.

I remember back last summer when you and I both got on here there was a lot more of these posts of community meetups and people in some countries getting their entire city behind Steemit. We don't see as much of that these days. I see @yungchief doing a lot of that both trying to grow Steemit in his community and also doing a lot for his local community as well yet when I look at his posts he's making like 0.08 cents per post.

In the case of @brianphobos who I should focus on since this is his anniversary, @brianphobos was so instramental in terms of answering questions I had about Steemit early on, giving me some support in the form of upvotes nad resteems to bring some attention to my posts that would have otherwise been lost in the new category. I know you've had the same experience with him and it's not just us, when I look at other peoples posts I see brian actively commenting on and interacting with other people helping them out, I think he's done so much for this platform and welcomming new people and everything else and I think that sometimes goes unrecognized.

I like how you do your Steemian of the day and video of the day, I've gotten it twice and was truly flattered both times, I like how your trying to bring some recognition to people in that way.

That said I guess what I'm proposing is some kind of thing where maybe once a week you recognize someone doing a lot for the steemit community who's maybe not getting the recognition they deserve and as opposed to just giving them some monetary reward doing something to try to get the community to rally behind them either in the sense of getting everyone to upvote or resteem a post of theirs, to follow them, something along those lines.

I think that woudl do a lot for the individuals in terms of getting some recognition for some peopel who maybe feel unapprecitaed, but also and more importantly trying to get the community to maybe strive to be a valuable member of this community as opposed to just taking taking taking.

I've talked about this before so I don't mean to beat a dead horse but I think it would be a cool idea and if anyone has the power and influence to get something like that off the ground I think it would be you.

Thank you both @brianphobos and @reseller for all you've done for Steemit as well as for being part of my journey on here. Appreciate both of you.
