SLC27-W3 | A One-Day Street Journalist: Business at The Transport Station.

Friends! We are all aware that the third week of steemit challenge season 27 is underway. ‌ This week, a wonderful competition has been organized by dear @max-pro brother. The title of the competition has been decided.‌

I am participating in this beautiful competition as a one-day journalist at the transport station, I am @jubayer95 from @Bangladesh.

To lead our lives, we have to travel from one city to another for various needs. ‌ Even from one district to another. Many times we have to leave our beloved motherland and rush to another country. And to go from one place to another, we need different vehicles, sometimes trains, sometimes buses, sometimes auto rickshaws. Among the several transport stations in the competition, I have chosen "Bus Terminal".

Which transport station in your city did you visit? Review a business there.

I went to the traditional Sirajganj Municipal Bus Terminal of my beloved Sirajganj city today after Friday prayers. And I have chosen a roadside food hotel for today's discussion. Its name is "Hotel Ujala".
Every day, about a hundred cars leave from this terminal towards other upazilas of the district and various districts of the country. And thousands of passengers travel from this terminal. Due to this shift in travel, passengers and bus workers feel the need for morning, noon and night meals. Many other hotels including Hotel Ujala have been established to meet their needs. And this hotel was established about 20 years ago. The hotel is located right inside the bus terminal on the roadside. Having a hotel here has benefited both the workers and the passengers. By meeting the needs of the passengers and workers, the hotel authorities are earning their livelihood. Both parties are satisfied with this. The hotel authorities are easily getting a large number of customers daily. On the other hand, the passengers and workers can easily take advantage of food at their fingertips.

I have eaten many times from this hotel before today. About 12-13 years ago, when I was studying in Sirajganj Masumpur Madrasa. Then I used to come here occasionally and have breakfast.
Also, whenever I travel somewhere from this terminal, I eat here if I need food. A few days ago, I had lunch here during a trip. Today too, I wanted to eat lunch here. But on the way, a dear friend forced me to be his guest. So, no food was eaten here today.

A funny thing is. With the permission of the hotel manager, when I was taking pictures and making videos, everyone was watching me curiously. The driver of the Sonar Madina bus came and thought I was a big YouTuber. So he asked me to give him advice on his bus. After much request, he said, "Hujur, you will write, but." And what is the name of your YouTube?
I answered straightforwardly, I will not write on YouTube but rather on an international blog.
The Sonar Madina bus runs regularly on the Sirajganj to Rangpur-Saidpur route.

It leaves Sirajganj at 6:20 in the morning and 1:30 in the afternoon.

It leaves from Saidpur at 6:40 am and 2:30 pm.

Why are passengers more attracted to these shops?

The reason why passengers are attracted to these shops at the bus terminal is.

• Due to the various necessary things such as bags etc. during the journey, if they need something, they choose the shop that is within reach.

• The shops at the terminal always sell fresh things.

• The prices of the products are relatively normal.

• A special feature of the hotel in question is that fresh fish from the Yamuna River is available, due to which passengers are attracted here.

Are these businesses creating employment opportunities for local unemployed youth?

Of course! These businesses at the terminal are creating employment opportunities for local youth. With more than a hundred workers and thousands of passengers coming and going to the terminal every day, the demand for various things including food is very high. As a result, it has created various job opportunities for local youth. Some are running tea shops. Some are running hotels, some are running street food etc.

To make our lives easier, we use transport stations almost every day. And these small traders at transport stations make our journey easier and more beautiful. So let's treat these small traders with kindness and maintain a brotherly relationship with them.
