SLC27-W3 | A One-Day Street Journalist: Business at the transport station."

To participate in the competition, I first reached a popular railway station in our area. The name of the railway station was Kumarkhali Railway Station. We always see various types of small businesses being established around the railway station. Although the businesses do not have a permanent area or place, it is still possible to do business very well in this area. A lot of people gather at the station every day and such small businesses are established around those people. I have noticed that the local people living around the railway line participate in such businesses to the greatest extent. Since their standard of living is comparatively worse than that of people in other areas, they earn their living by running such small businesses. Today, I have come to share with you the description of some such businesses established around the railway line.

We usually see such shops in the most number around the railway lines. Although their business is very small, they still continue their business activities in this way for the sake of livelihood. And since the entire area around the railway line belongs to the government, even if they want, they cannot set up local shops on their own initiative and conduct business activities. That is why they set up temporary small shops in the area around the railway line and conduct business activities.

I went to the railway station in my city to visit. The businesses in the railway station are small in nature. They operate their business through temporary shops. Even though they operate through temporary shops, their sales are good because the railway stations are always crowded with people.

While paying at the railway station, I purchased several items. I noticed that the prices of items at the railway station are comparatively higher. I am sharing with you in a table what I called and how much they cost.

| 03 Why are passengers more attracted to these shops? |

While traveling, many people do not have time to eat from home. That is why most of the passengers do not finish their light meals when they arrive at such stations. Also, many people get tired due to traveling, so they take light meals from such stations and keep their body fit. Most of the time, passengers are seen to be more attracted towards the nut seller in such places.

I completely agree with this because such businesses have created a business opportunity for the local youth. There are very few other jobs in the area so doing business is the best career choice for them. That is why if you also observe, you will see that such businesses are always run by the youth.
