What are the festival-oriented businesses in your area?

Bangladesh is home to a diverse range of religions. Each religion has its own special days, such as Eid for Muslims, Puja for Hindus, and Christmas Day and Buddhist Day for Christians and Buddhists. During each festival, temporary fairs are held to brighten up the festival. The main attraction of the fair is various types of food, toys, and cosmetics shops.
Currently, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community in our country, the biggest festival is Durga Puja, has started. A temporary fair is held around the Puja place during this Puja.
One of the festival-oriented businesses in our area is the food, toy, and cosmetics business. This type of business can be found, especially during various festivals and cultural events in Bangladesh. Toy and food businesses become very popular during various religious events, cultural events, and other festivals. Businesses are bustling with festive activities, where Muslims celebrate Eid and Hindus celebrate Puja.
I visited a fair located next to a puja mandap. It was a rainy day, and the shopkeepers were waiting for the scorpion to come. Most of the shops at the fair are related to food and toys. Usually, there are various types of delicious food at most fairs. The price of food is also kept within the purchasing range, so that it is within the purchasing range of everyone who comes to the festival. like-

Also, there is a cosmetics shop here. Various types of cosmetics suitable for low-income people are available here; hundreds of types of unknown women's items are available in these shops. The prices are also very low. So, customers are more attracted to these shops.

Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.

I have visited two fairs in my area. Although the fairs are held on the occasion of a Hindu puja. I go to the fairs out of curiosity. Not to buy anything. For example, today I came to the puja fair for the purpose of the Steemit challenge. I spoke to two shopkeepers here somewhere; I have inquired about their business. Everyone said that business is going well. Many customers buy at bargain prices. I have gone to a cosmetics shop, I asked to know the names of many cosmetics items, but I don't even remember the names of so many items. However,

I can mention the names and prices of a few items, such as.

Hundreds of such items are available in each shop at the fair.

Why are people more attracted to street stalls during festivals?

Festivals and festival-centered fairs are related to each other. Fairs are organized wherever festivals are held. Just as people like festivals, they also like fairs that are held around festivals.

They know that many items are available in one place at the fairs or shops located at the festival sites, and the prices are also slightly lower. Also, traveling to the fair with family members is a good way to spend time, and festival-centered shops are a great place to refresh the minds of small children.

The gate has been decorated for the occasion of puja.

Hindus are more likely to be present at fairs that are held around the puja. Since the fair is held in the puja area, after completing the puja work, they go out to visit the fair with their family members. They buy various foods and snacks for the children.

For them, the time is very joyful. This joy is increased by the shops located at the fair. Also, people passing by the road are more inclined towards the fair, as they take fresh food from the fair for their families. There is a lot of joy in this purchase too.

All in all, people are more attracted to the shops at the fair.

Are these businesses contributing to preserving local culture?

Of course, these businesses make an important contribution to our culture.Holding fairs around any festival is a part of our culture. That is why we see fairs held during any festival in our country, such as fairs during Eid, fairs during Puja, fairs during Pohela Baishakh, and fairs around various mahfils. All are part of our culture.

Such fairs are definitely part of our culture.LMC_20250930_183753_🌈Color boost By Expert Mistry.jpg
Even though they are small businessmen, they are part of our culture.LMC_20250930_183721_🌈Color boost By Expert Mistry.jpg

Although very good quality products are not available in these fairs, all are of ordinary quality; these ordinary quality products are made by the common people of our country.

The products include their tireless work, their talent, and stories of sacrifice. So I definitely think that all these items found at the fair are part of our culture.
