Smudge might just need a little more time to warm up to the new cat post. Out of curiosity, how much does Smudge weigh?

I always worry about things toppling over. I actually have a ceiling-height cat tree, and I’m constantly obsessed with testing, tugging, and re-securing it just in case it falls. At the same time, I’m looking into buying a lower post like yours, but I keep imagining all the ways my 'Godzilla cat' could potentially knock it over! I’m trying to figure out the safest place to position it to prevent any accidents.
