In today's covertly communist country, where communists or their children still rule, but hidden under names that include "democracy" and "change", as I've already told you, there are no films about the atrocities committed by the fathers and grandfathers of today's rulers.
For sure, they wouldn’t allow that to happen. They would rewrite the entire trajectory of history and build a propaganda machine to wash themselves clean as if that 'atrocity' was never in their blood.
In terms of rewriting history, I was fortunate to have a very brave history teacher who fought for years, if not decades, to prove the existence of a concentration camp in the city where I studied. Because the building was destroyed and the documents burned. They, the perpetrators, even deny that there was such a building there, let alone that atrocities were committed inside it.
So you can imagine the extent of the manipulation. These people are without conscience, without any morals. And then someone expects their children to be different. How could that be possible?
Your teacher is brave; it’s practically a regime they are fighting against, and that often comes with serious repercussions. Did they manage to publish the findings? It will be a resource for the newer generations.
Sadly, in many cases, those perpetrators just raise a new generation of 'baddies.' People have too much to lose and human greed is powerful.
I don't actually know what my teacher managed to achieve, because I haven't set foot in this city in a long time. But I hope they managed to do something and that it is documented. Of course, everything can then be burned again, or at the very least - denied.
My partner and I sometimes argue about these people's children. And he says to me: It's like someone comparing you to your parents, and I really have nothing to do with them and it's ridiculous for someone to compare me, even associate me with them. But that comparison has nothing to do with these people, raised in affluence while everyone else was left struggling to survive. Who witnessed their parents' actions, inherited all that money, businesses, and connections, as well as the lessons of what life was like - a life so different from the one ordinary people led. A different universe. A dangerous one at that...
With the elite and their children, it’s on an entirely different level. It’s incomparable because their actions aren’t contained within a family tree; they affect the entire nation.
