Meaningless online relations

I don't know why at this time of year I have no energy or desire for anything, when it should, in reality, be the exact opposite. The most difficult and terrible months of the year are over. I'm alive. And I should feel even more alive. But it's not exactly like that. And yet, I don't want to interrupt writing here for such long periods as if I'm not here. Because I am here, I just don't have the energy to write profound things.

And yet, in this energy-deprived state, I will try to continue the topic of my last post, in which, perhaps, I was not able to express myself quite accurately in terms of what I want to say.

A few weeks ago, national television began broadcasting a series that deals with the "history" as they of course want to present it, of the "Bulgarian" Jеws during World War II and their "rescue", as they are, of course, trying to present it as having happened. The broadcasting of this particular series on Bulgarian national television has its reasons in these troubled times, stating its, once again, wrong position. But I was extremely surprised. At first I thought this was a new series, and again I wondered what purpose they were giving so much money for. Then it turned out that this series was from 2013, and that somehow softened my surprise. But not quite. I was extremely amazed by the cast. So many famous Bulgarian artists, with reputation, morality and civic position wore kippahs and played the roles of rabbis, young Jеwish couples in love, other couples and so on.

This deviation actually has little to do with the topic of my post. But it is related because the broadcast of this series coincided with the official day of tribute to the victims of the communist regime in Bulgaria.

So when they announced the broadcast of the series, not knowing what its plot was, but assuming it was about the victims of communism, I said to myself, okay, this will be interesting, they will show something from real Bulgarian history, something covered in a lot of blood, cruelty and senselessness, but necessary to be known so that the younger generations don't make mistakes, don't fall into error.

But guess what - in the dilapidated and miserable post-communist and covertly communist country of Bulgaria, there is no feature film on this topic. And a film on the occasion of the official day of tribute to the victims of the communist regime in Bulgaria was not broadcast on that day.

Of course, there are a few documentaries on the subject, not many, very few, and shortly after, maybe the following week, they aired one that even I couldn't watch because of the stories about how they cut off the legs of the murdered prisoners in the Belene concentration camp, where my grandfather was also sent, so that they could fit them in the sacks they carried them in to feed the pigs, who were later eaten by the guards and other prison authorities...

IMG_20260215_131327.jpg

These films are made in a way that they are not digestible by the potential audience, so that they will never be watched, and it is better that way, while the love stories and hardships of the "poor" Jеws, saved for a still unclear reason, although for any educated person it is potentially a clear money-power deal, melt the hearts and bring tears to the eyes of the really poor Bulgarian audience, who prefer to cry for the "troubles" of foreign people, but not for their own people.

And that's not the only reason.
In today's covertly communist country, where communists or their children still rule, but hidden under names that include "democracy" and "change", as I've already told you, there are no films about the atrocities committed by the fathers and grandfathers of today's rulers.

Do you even know this, but you can't possibly know it, there were certain concentration camps, the existence of which is denied today by all these then and former representatives of the communist party. The buildings were destroyed, the archives were burned and... pure work, it simply didn't exist, right?
And then the children of all those communist monsters who did all this, the children who rule us today, go to lay wreaths at the monument to the victims of communism in the capital, to keep silent, to put on their mournful faces, as protocol has prescribed, pretending that they care.
As someone correctly noted this year - the children (the rulers) went to the monument to see what their grandfathers had done. Nothing more, that's all.

And there is not a day when they do not mention on television some high-ranking person, known to me or unknown, whose family tree does not turn out to be wedged into the communist party in the past. There is simply no person in a leadership position, whether diplomatically or in the state apparatus - in ministries or any other unit of the administration, management bodies of state or state-related enterprises, all kinds of agencies, but even non-governmental organizations, who does not have a similar "aristocratic" background. And there's no point in even asking myself the spontaneously arising question any more: who is this person? when I see the familiar pattern: he/she graduates and then immediately starts from one high-ranking position to a second, third, fourth and fifth, ad infinitum.
Because the mythical figures of Kristalina Georgieva, Nikolay Mladenov and everyone, everyone else, have already been unraveled and revealed.

And here comes the continuation of my previous post: yes, it is stupid to talk about politics. It is so pointless, bordering on a lack of basic intelligence. However... with the latest very big drama, the Bulgarian analogue of the Epstein files, as they aptly called it, with numerous politicians involved, many of my friends and acquaintances on FB have started talking about politics in their posts again. And again, I had to note how many of them actually support the children of the communists, the children of the state security monsters, because of whose fault the state is in this miserable state today. I really don't know how these wolves in disguise managed to deceive so many people. And do these deceived people really not care at all about their past, their family tree... or at least the history of this poor country?

And after the incident with that woman with whom I had to share a hospital room for three days, and it turned out that we couldn't have a normal conversation on any topic without touching on the topic of our past, I asked myself this question: will I actually be able to communicate with these people who I see on the opposite shore? There is a huge gap between my shore and theirs, it is a whole universe of difference. I saw this, I realized this, then in the hospital room. And then, after I probably won't be able to communicate with them, why are they in my friends list at all?

To support the children of the communist monsters, you yourself must have profited from this government and this party in the past. You must have been one of them. Ignorance is not an excuse. Ignorance like: I don't care what this person is like, I just like him and that's why I support him, is also not an excuse.

So, in the land of great divisions between people, I'm about to delete a large part of my acquaintances on FB, simply because I know that if we meet in person, I won't be able to have any deep and meaningful conversation. I won't be able to have any conversation at all. Then, what's the point of maintaining any, even distant online relationships with meaningless people?

steem.jpgSoul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.

Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|

I suppose those wolves managed to drag everyone else into the mud with them.

Once the people are tainted, they have a vested interest in looking the other way and of course, many benefited from feigning ignorance.

In today's covertly communist country, where communists or their children still rule, but hidden under names that include "democracy" and "change", as I've already told you, there are no films about the atrocities committed by the fathers and grandfathers of today's rulers.

For sure, they wouldn’t allow that to happen. They would rewrite the entire trajectory of history and build a propaganda machine to wash themselves clean as if that 'atrocity' was never in their blood.

I was talking to my partner about politics and racism, and how people treat these issues like coffee shop gossip. They can talk until the cows go home, spending their entire lives just talking about it but they never suggest a single meaningful idea for betterment.

I even mentioned how you often get dragged into these monologues, where the other person doesn't want a dialogue; they just want you to listen and agree, or else they’ll be offended.
