Yesterday i booked my 1st work trip for 2026 which is on the Gold Coast Australia, the site i am going back to we did about 2 years ago so the time to go back is now.

I leave on February 1 and return home on the 12th February which gives me 11 nights, as some of you know the Gold Coast is one of my favorite places in Australia and i am looking forward to it.

When we took the kids over we stayed at Q1 and i am lucky enough to be staying there for this upcoming work stint.

Last year i spent most of the year working in Australia and only had 1 x job in New Zealand, this year though most of my work at this stage is going to be in New Zealand.

This means i can come home for the weekends which will be great.

Apart from booking my 1st work trip i have just been doing the normal stuff with a few walks per day and doing some cleaning around the house.

We have had some great Summer weather which makes a change from the cloudy - ish weather we had between Christmas & New Years.

I have been taking down some of my Solar Christmas lights and putting them into storage until next Christmas.
