SEC-s20w5: Fitness Training 👉 Arms/Shoulder Sculpturing Exercises

Taking part in this fitness training has bring me so much joy as I have noticed that I'm on the track of achieving my goals. My tummy size has reduced, my clothes are beginning to fit me well, with this I'm motivated never to give up.

Last week, we were trained on building muscle of the lower part of the body. This week fitness training is for the arms, I took part in the training and I enjoyed it as I felt the impact on my arms while strenthening the muscles.

So this week I decided to take myself out to meet with others who have the same fitness goals with me and after a session with them I came back to make a video of actually what I did in response to this week fitness training task.

From the class, I have learnt the reason why we should strengthen our muscles. Also I learned the different muscles at the arms and shoulder which helps us perform duties at ease. Staying fit now will help strengthen the muscles even in the future when we get old.

Warm up; So to begin my fitness training program for the week, I began with a warm up, it is always good to activate your mood so as to be able to workout well.

Cardio; I proceeded to cardio which I find it very useful, it helps me to work on every part of the body. Then I took part in this week fitness training.


Shoulder and arm sculpturing exercises


I tried all the exercise then I chooses the 3 that I was able to do very well at my pace.


1. Front Raises


I performed this program in a standing position by raising my arms forward and straight with dumbbells in my hands. I moved my arms forward one at a time, I moved up and down. I really felt the impact of it as my arm were heavy after performing the program. It was easy to do it but I challenge myself and repeated it for 3x8 and that is when I felt the impact of it.

This will really help my arms to be firm.


2. Plank shoulder taps



I stayed in a plank position where my palms and toes are on the ground then I use one arm to tap my shoulder then drop it and did same with the other hand. While doing this movement my body is supported by my one hand on the ground, the aim is to strengthen my arm and shoulder muscles.

I repeated it for 8 times in 3 set it was really though but I did it after some 5 minutes breaks at each set, with this I was able to finish the rounds. Watch as I did it in the video below 👇

Plank ups and downs

I did it by still maintaining the plank position with my palm and toes facing down on the ground. Then I bend my elbow the joint of one of my arms while supporting my body with my arms then quickly change back to my palm.

This was actually challenging but I didn't give up till I get it rightly done 👍. My arms really hurt on this but we are getting there gradually.

I repeated it for 8 times in 3 set then take a rest.

I was about to complete all the programs for the week, although it wasn't easy especially the press up, the planks up and down. But this is a challenge, So I challenged myself to do it hopefully subsequently, I will be perfect in this challenges but I promise myself never to give up on this 6 weeks training so despite my inability to do it very well I try to perform any task that is required of me I stand to be corrected at any time.

I sweat a lot after the workout session

Other days of the week I joined with some workout team that is close to my location for their week training I find it enjoyable and I wish to be consistent in it.

Actually, I don't have any question this week. I understand all the programs and I understand where we are working out for, the particular body parts and the reason for the workouts.

For the feelings, I feel I'm in the right track 🤗🤗
