Well the best part of what I had to offer was lubing so that you don't kink the washer, and giving it a jostle to make sure it's got all the play out.
But the hose you show in the picture doesn't look like the two types of fittings are the same almost like it's leaking between the gasket and the inner flange of the fitting.
Other than that all I can tell you is good luck.

something about how that flange is put togeher doesn't seem like it jives well with the other half of the connection.
Almost looks like your hose might be a Euro type fitting and the washer might be North American or something which is basically the same as a garden hose over here.

I'm going to buy another hose anyway. They are cheap. The washer on this one is rock hard. It's just annoying when things don't work as they should

I hope some of this helped, sorry I'm not on discord as of yet or I may have been able to communicate a little better in words.
If another hose doesn't fix it I can assure you there's something other than the hose going on.
It'd be a shame to go through two or three hoses only to find out it's something else entirely.
I'm not sure if sears parts ships to UK but if they do they're an awesome resource for parts for almost anything.
Have a good day and thanks for the wire.
