The conure

The conure is a parakeet bird endemic to the Amazon region, specifically Brazil, Guyana and Suriname. Also known as the red-fronted conure, it stands out for its bright yellow plumage, with a red forehead and bluish-green wings and tail. Furthermore, it has a strong, curved beak, adapted for eating fruits and seeds. Unfortunately, the ararajuba is threatened with extinction due to the destruction of its natural habitat and the illegal trafficking of wild animals. The capture of these birds for the international exotic animal trade is one of the main causes of their population decline. As a conservation measure, the ararajuba is protected by national and international laws that prohibit its illegal capture and trade. Furthermore, there are conservation projects that aim to reproduce and reintroduce these birds into the wild, as well as awareness campaigns about their importance and the need to preserve their habitat. It is hoped that, with conservation efforts, the ararajuba can be saved from extinction and continue to bring joy to the Amazon fauna with its beauty and charm.
