I'm sure we are all used to hearing people make comments like, "Uuughhhh the price of Steem sucks!"... but I bet you've also heard the people saying that the price you see now isn't the true price and it will be worth so much more in the future.
What do those people even mean? In this video, I break down the math on why posting right now is a seriously awesome opportunity to accumulate more Steem.
I've had family in town and have been busy packing things up for my move that I haven't had as much time to post this week and i'm crying inside a little because right now is such a great time to post!

Very cool your proposal for accumulation of steem. I think alike, too. Next year I'll start using Steem to get a part of my salary because, here in Brazil, the condition of life is not easy. But this year I just think of accumulating steem power. In these times of low steem we must continue posting and accumulating steem for when the price of it rises, we have a considerable amount of steem accumulated. Now it's worth around $0.9. I think that in January next year, when the SMT is released, the price of it can increase considerably and we will have a good quotation on our steems.

Thanks my friend!! Sometimes we all just need a little perspective shift! Looking at it this way can make a huge difference in someones motivation to post when the price is low.
Another thing I didn't talk about in this video, but is related, is how posting when the price is low can help your blog get more visibilty. So many people post less when the price drops - that buy doubling down instead - more people will notice you.
This totally happened for me in February of this year. When the price "tanked" after the massive January we had - I really buckled down and saw a lot of benefit from that.

I noticed this a few days ago. Recently my best post payout was like 9 steem (4.5SP+4.5steem). I got this payout yesterday and found that my post made like a total of 10.58 dollars.
If the price of steem was four dollars like back in May, my post would have been worth around fifty dollars. As you would have noticed, my posting frequency has increased in the last few days :-)
Oooh awesome that you are taking advantage of this too! It's kinda funny how many people post less because the post payout is lower. They are missing out on a great opportunity right now!
We all know those people with a ton of steem and think, "They were lucky.... they got it when it was dirt cheap". Well... now's the time to start stockpiling our own stashes! :)
I haven't ever been able to buy steem. This kinds of pushes me to try to earn more and power it up. I think it took me January to June to earn my first 130 steem, then next thirty days to earn my way to a total of 230 and 20 more days to reach 330SP. The falling prices have definitely helped me in increasing my speed of accumulating steem.
Next year we all would be shaking are heads at this:

are you really sure, that Steem / Steem Power is really pegged to the US$? I thought only SBD is the anchor.

Hey Felix! Yeah they are giving Steem as the liquid earning instead of SBD - which I'm stoked about. I'd way rather earn Steem. In the long run it will be a much more valuable asset. Imho
Also, I'm not saying that Steem/steem power is pegged to the USD. Sorry for there was any confusion in the video. Basically, when the price of steem is low - you are earning more overall steem than when the price is high. This is awesome for a long term strategy.

I'm actually stoked to be earning more steem. It would be great to be getting SBD and flipping it right now - but in the long run, I think Steem will be the more valuable coin. :)

Nice Lea! Yes never underestimate the power of Steem. I am so tight fisted with all my crypto, I haven't converted anything back to Fiat. With that said I so wish I had more Fiat to spare, so I could buy more Steem! LOL and increase my VP. I love manually up-voting content, and wish I my upvote was worth more then a cent or two. As it is my VP is always way low because I upvote so much. LOL it would sooo be nice to be a whale! Lol. haha

hehehe yeah, that would be so cool to have an upvote worth like 50 bucks. That would really help out lots of people. Alot of people are joining steemit becuse of bloging, and then from that point they discover cryptos.
In May 2018 we broke the 1 Million registred users people dont relazie how big that milestone was and it will keep getting bigger just like Facebook (maybe not in that fast rate but not far behind).
I personally think now it's the best time to accumulate more steem power due to the price decline as you recive more steem per post.
