"There is an energy that always pushes us forward, that is the energy of habit. It is very strong because of accumulating from many generations of ancestors. We are heritage this energy from our ancestors and parents. Whenever we go, whatever we do, we are always controlled by this habitual energy which pushes us to do things we don’t want to do, say things we don’t want to say; so, it makes me insecure and always run away. Let’s practice breathing, walking, sitting and eating in mindfulness to stop that habitual energy.
While eating, let's learn how to eat with fully enjoy in every piece of rice or bread that we are chewing. If we succeed in the first piece, we will succeed in the second piece, third piece, and during the meal. Practice of eating and walking in mindfulness can help us stop that long-time habitual energy. If someone feel anxiety, restless, let’s turn back to the breath and practice walking slowly, steadily, and carefreely.
To practice easier, we should practice recognizing and naming the habitual energy correctly. Breath in, we can say quietly, “Hello, insecurity friend. I already know you”. Using the conscious breath in and out to recognize its presence and smile at it.
We have to believe in the mindfulness practice. Through every footstep, breath and piece of rice we are chewing in mindfulness, we will able to regain the freedom we lost. No matter what we are doing, let’s do in mindfulness, we will no longer be a victim of the insecurities of habitual energy"
