Steem at 0.80$
The price appears to have stabilized over the last day or so at the same time the trading volume has dropped to about a third of what it was a couple days ago.
Currently just over 3 million $ in the last 24 hours.
We are also now standing number 12 in total market value at 186 million $.
My feeling is that the price will correct in the next days, but of course I prefer it if it skyrockets as do most of you I can only imagine.
A higher price of steem means increased post payouts, more interest from new users wanting to join and share quality content on this amazing blockchain and of course a higher likelyhood of cryptocurrency news sites writing articles about us.
I hope it goes up more, But who knows!!
Let's see if we can build a range first over a few months. A few weeks isn't good enough to know if this price has been validated, in my view.
Once the volume returns we will see which direction the price of steem wants to travel to :)
I think Steem and Steemit are in a good place. The market went a bit mad in the last week, but has settled down now. It's great that Steem has stayed up and this will boost confidence. We have lots of new users who will be encouraged to stick with it and tell their friends.
Yeah, I can't even imagine what would happen if the price went over 5$ for example it would be pretty crazy!
I'm not sure Steemit really justifies that high a price just yet, but it may well get there when we have millions of users. There's really no upper limit. As it is we have posts earning well over $1000 already. That's pretty good money. I'm happy enough making a few dollars.

I like your attitude. Even if our daily posts only earn 5 Steem, for instance, that could be a big deal some day. I believe Steem has the potential to reach $100 in the future (maybe more). That means that each day we potentially put $500 into our retirement account. That is unheard of with today's spend, spend, spend mentality.
A while back Steem was worth 7c, so any rewards back then are already worth 10x as much. The time we invest now should really pay off later.
You bet! 7 cent Steem got me really excited. I only wish I had bought a lot more back then. I knew it wouldn't stay that low. And I know it certainly won't stay at its current price. So even though the concept of buying Steem at $.80 seems ludicrous when it was less than a dime not long ago, this might still be the hottest price we will ever see from an investing standpoint.

The maximum it reached was over 4$, I didnt get involved in steemit until november of last year.

I am sure that our recent spike in price has given all of us a surge of confidence and enthusiasm. We are seeing more evidence that our efforts here will not be wasted.
