Steem it is helping me design again.
It's been a while since I could afford a fresh batch of yarn, everything i had was pre-assigned to a project, which makes working on those out of the blue idea's pretty tough. So when a couple of my early articles did quite well I withdrew some funds and ordered as much yearn as I could justfy thankfully there was a sale on and 81 skeins arrived at my door yesterday morning so i got straight to work on two new projects.
The unnamed blanket
The pattern will be part of my learning to crochet series, so I kept it pretty simple focusing more on texture than shape with a fairly short repeat of 14 rows, so anything new at the beginning will memorised by the time it's finished.
There is some more advanced stitches and overlay crochet as well to break people in gently to the techniques I like to use most.
If I did the maths right this should measure roughly 120 x 170cm when it's completed.

I love your color choices and the creativity in this example. I do recognize some of the stitches...though I admit I'm limited by creating scarves, shawls and blankets. I aspire to make sweaters and clothes but I live in Florida and, well, it's just too damn hot to wear them! :)
you could always use a lightweight cotton yarn instead of wool or acrylic to make clothes mere it is a lot cooler,

I think anything is the first few times you try, once you know the basic 3 stitches you can crochet anything really, and thank you for the good luck I'll need it .
