RE: Daily Steem Price Update 25/9/2025
Seeing things at large or from a distance can definitely enhance it's beauty and hide most flaws, but you know what.. from my experience it's not even the guys working on the 50th floor that have no clue on how many are suffering. Just the idiot on a "just above average pay packet" can became incredibly blind, especially true if they drive. I don't think they are very much in touch with the reality that surrounds them.
Working in a call centre is known to be a horrendous experience, and from what I have been told by a few friends who experienced it. Considering all that effort each and everyday I don't blame you for wanting to work from home, it's a option that I think should be more accessible. It seems in the end they done you a favour and you were able to leave the wicked place.
Yes right I don't think the market loss for bitcoin is the big deal people are making it out to be, unless your someone who just very recently invested a huge amount than the losses shouldn't be by much. I'm sad about Steem falling so much, it's worrying but if there is ever going to be a turn around with the bitcoin-one-show moving to alt season than this is a welcome chance to get some cheaply, after all it's been here before.
Is the less butter and ice cream for health reasons or savings? Well some of those kids are brats and likely need a lesson back to reality where things don't always go their way. Those at the top will fall the furthest and hardest.
all for the money :p
im not sure starting 2026 there will be any actual income so i'm bunkering the few copper pieces that are left.
Better than last time (20+ years ago) when i was literally on the street, today i wont have to fear roof, food and maybe i can have my health insurance taken care of but thats about it .. so according to lots on the fortunate side i should be happy that i still have both legs
and i kinda am but i don't know that's a good reason to be complacent and content, its just i dont see any options in my present condition considering the state of the state (and the state of the world doesnt look much better)
this mental flatness i have for years is probably an asset atm
I really do hope Steem can help with that eventually, but for the moment I think you do well to save whatever you can when things are so uncertain.
I do think we have to be grateful for what we have, but admit it's unfair how some have so much more, some deserve it yes but others really don't, and no there is no need to be fully complacent, some even suggest never being complacent and always reaching for something more, but then again not everybody is a bezos or bill gates.
The last two billionnaires here i can think of ended up in jail lol .. for some reason , it always felt like they reached too far like that guy who flew to the sun with his wax wings wassisname ... and the protectorate came down and corrected it so they stayed in their caste.
It's a bit hazy today. "normal daily" pain hinders movement and thinking but when it gets like this today its incapacitating.
Two catwalks tonight, very quiet still moonlight with fluffy sheep clouds. The best sight , if the street lights are on you can see til the next streetlight, if its just the moon you can basically see all the way down the hill at night ...
sounds hilbilly-ish heh ...
maybe 't is a little. If you stand down the hill on a sunny summer day and look up this place looks really nice , but i bet everyone who been here for 5-10 years has had a change of mind of some sort by now and
we been here since the first houses ... the curse runs deep ...
one guy returning from work (i think) , another distributing newspapers (i think, it could be the early-morning crack dealer ... hard to say these days)
Something manipulated me into checking local headlines and there was indeed nothing there (that wasnt expected) ... big items like "woman gets trampled by horse, police takes horseshoes back as evidence" and some mention of the fact that the death threats have already started at the statejobshop now the mad emperors have started the cleaning ...
And i think i saw something about a VAT increase ... im starting to doubt any of them has a phd in economics and no one paid much attention in math class ... the numbers already were impossible but this would mean your standard 21% on luxury items like food and electricity probably becomes more and also that selling to and from belgium becomes more expensive (like silly stuff like the biggest growing industry in the world that made microsoft pay 80 billion for one company ... i wonder why they dont just aks them for a few billions in trade for some concessions instead of cannibalizing the powerless) ... so selling a game on itch or buying one for a decent $9.99 so the dev at least keeps something after taxes now probably costs $15 io $12 ...
this way, i think the plan must be : "nobody will become a bill gates, so they wont run away from the swamps of mordor"
man ... the pain is really double plus today
It does seem that having a few million attracts a lot of problems, from both the people and authorities and so likely it's best to always lay low.
Pain hinders movement and thinking but so does it's so called treatments.
It doesn't sound hilbilly-ish at all, I would prefer to live again somewhere more green but with the crime rates around here id rather not, in a safer country I would definitely take it.
It's the same here if you look for the positives the place can look rather nice to outsiders, but if we take a look at the humans who live here.. it all turns very ugly.
Personally for me spotting the crack dealers/trouble makers are easy, they all wear similar uniforms and carry the same attitude and I do wish these waste of space idiots would disappear.
I try my best to avoid the local headlines, reading those you learn someone was murdered 2 houses from you, and it goes on.
Yea we have already been briefed on how VAT increase will be going up insane percentages on everything that they can think of, making soon buying food impossible. It makes the top of the news, not sure why, every year it's the same dam depressing thing.
I get you, I have looked at many of the so called government schemes to help you out of poverty and yet they all look like traps, once your in the system you can't get out. They continue to close all the doors down on crypto too, making getting out of this mess impossible, but crime of the street continues a low priority.
Hope the pain eases soon man takecare.
the last time i did i found out that "man falls from stair" and "women gets kicked by horse, police takes horse-shoes as evidence" (maybe they'll charge the dastardly beast with assault and not the woman with the stupid for hanging around at the hind of a horse) so i thought WELL, that means the country's doing great, i dont have to check this until next year !
My uncle used to say money doesnt make happy but they HAD plenty heh, i noticed this trend more, in the end he got parkinsons right in his sixties so INDEED - , but however if they were poor he would have suffered a lot more
i prefer having problems WITH six or more zeroes instead of problems because i dont have enough zeroes, i guess i'm a materialist :p
Haha, yea they will definitely charge the poor horse, and the woman will claim some mental health something.
Money can't always make you happy, having ones health I'm finding that to be more important when it comes to being "happy". However when in ill health the money really does help in providing a more comfortable lifestyle, which is what I seek at the moment, common Steem!
Haha Lawrence gives some good advice there, time to pirate, could probably win a case against my employer but I reckon the end returns won't be worth it.
well not quite exactly lol
but i thnk thats how a lot see it because no one here was there ... i once heard from a barkeep here on how i spent 3 years in jail in Gent while i was actually living there with someone going to college ...
I'm not holding my breath for crypto to save the day, it just saves the whale, yo but that old pair of shoes is hard to throw away
Yeah definitely, it can be hard for the older generation to understand that while we can be earning more, it's worth a lot less and we have to work harder for it.
One mans salary was usually enough for the family, now two parents work long hours and it's not always covering the basics.
Things are looking ugly for crypto lately, probably too much regulation coming into to force, but likely this can ultimately make it go up again, I just hope Steem follows.
Not just the old pair of shoes, tech and clothes can all be worth to keep for a little longer.
