RE: Daily Steem Price Update 21/8/2025

it's not really about the taxes, i'm sure income tax exists in most places (although not in the UAE and Monaco and several others last time i checked, and in (of all places) Colombia the first $10k you make is tax-free.

There must be more who can do it. Just like Nayib Bukele succeeds where others fail despite the IMF slandering him for not being a nice doggie.

The thing with youtube by belgian overregulationlaws is more like : "providing a service" means you need to have an actual business, VAT number and everything and all the paperwork, which (here) means that you need to pay all kinds of stuff up front, which, in turn, means, that unless you make a certain treshold you end up losing money.

Since you are actively monetizing its not "happenstance" income you drop by or donations, you are "providing a service"

I'm sure the UK has its ways of making things hard for everyone but im still convinced no one has ways to prevent you from starting like this patch does.

Say i could put up a video on youtube and add the chance for someone to choose wether they want to , without actually pro-actively selling it (as in : getting ad moneyfor views by default) , it might fall under the obfuscated category.

The point is i think : make it as hard as possible for anyone but old money to get started and while at it make sure all foreign business and manufacturing runs away. I bet there's almost no production facilities in the country and big ones like faceberg or crapple usually set up shop in Ireland or something.

It's one big text-maze too.

If it were just under "income tax" you could simply just do it but here its not really like that (as it is with lots of cases)

"to keep the peasants down" ... there's this commercial on tv i saw where this girl answers after they ask her "what is your dream?"

"to buy a house!"

and i'm thinking like woaw, you're easily pleased and content then, but in effect its discouraged to have anything bigger in mind than that , i know for a fact b/c i can't count the people anymore who during my life told me to "get some realistic goal , like buy a house" ..

drecklands .. small place, small horizon, small thinking

you end up with small people

the only two billionnaires i can think of in the modern times here ended up in jail

the one before probably was Leopold and im sure they woked him out of the history books by now lol

Ssaaa ... they remove the crime rate from brussels to attract investors ... look at brusselstimes its like this place is disneyland ,

the current situation cant possibly work out so .. the only way to stay sane through it is to not care

... look at this kid enjoying the perks of being too young for harassment suits hahah

Sort:

Yea I feel there are likely several places where one doesn't need to declare youtube earnings, well unless it's really a large quantity, but too many places the authorities want every red cent, nothing but thieves.

I'm surprised Nayib Bukele is still around to be honest, I'm sure the rest of the control freaks aren't happy at all.

I see what you mean and yea if you go down the route of first registering a business it could very well end up costing you more and so losing money. From my understanding to avoid this people first try to see if they can actually earn anything consistently, if it fails then no problem. But if they start making consistent money, maybe like a 100 bucks or more then they might start thinking about registration to avoid problems in the future.

I agree with it being one big text-maze, it's purposely complicated, I think to put many from even trying, and if they do they will later point out things that make no sense claiming that you of course own them money.

It's something i have noticed from a lot of people too, very small thinkers, don't seem to have anything unique with goal setting. Either they are being modest or I think people have just plainly given up because the authorities have made having anything too difficult.

I read a article that featured around 30 millionaires and I noticed something which I kind of suspected, in order to reach their fortune's more than half made some shady business practises. This placed them in jail for a while, but in the end it seemed worth it, because when they got out their fortune was still huge and now they were free to enjoy it.

Haha that kid is real smart, should of thought of that earlier, and back in the day most wouldn't report everything being a form of harassment.
