The Heaven Kings' gate in Chiljangsa Temple in Anseong City

The Heaven Kings' gate in Chiljangsa temple was the first architecture I came across which was classified as the historic treasury by the local government.

The scene through the gate was so impressive. The tunnel-like scene seems to have a very strong power to concentrate me into the target. So that scene is my favorite.

I should've waited until people walked away.

The Four heaven kings were built in the mid of Chosun dynasty after the invasion of the Japanese army 1592-1599.

As entering the gate, the sculptures were arranged in the opposite place.

Here in Chiljangsa, I found out something I didn't notice before. It was the colour of the heaven kings' beard. The colours were different from each other. These sculptures were known as the representative ones with others which were built in the same period, I could not find out the special things.

There were 3 colors of the beard. One white, 2 green and one blue.

I couldn't find out there was a meaning of the color of the beard.
