2025 Florida 25 Goldback – A golden full stop to an incredible series...
And just like that, I’ve reached the final chapter of my Florida Goldback ALPHA collection—the 25 denomination, a gleaming, intricately crafted piece of monetary art that marks the end of my Goldback run… at least for now.
Let me be clear—this wasn’t an easy one to pick up. While I’ve loved building my collection of Florida Goldbacks, the larger denominations like the 25 start to get a little too premium, even for my slightly stretched budget. But I wanted to complete my story, and I’m glad I did. Because this piece doesn’t just finish my set, although there is a 50 and 100 GB, it adds depth, value, and something to talk about every time I show my stack to someone new.
The 25 Florida Goldback carries more than just a higher gold content. It carries presence. It’s a showstopper. The artistry in this note is nothing short of breathtaking, and it's easy to see why so many collectors and stackers—especially in the U.S.—hold these higher denomination notes in such high regard.
Here in the UK, Goldbacks are still a bit of a mystery. Most stackers I know are more familiar with sovereigns, bullion rounds, and the occasional Royal Mint collectible. So when I pull out one of these vibrant, gold-laced negotiable instruments, it’s always met with wide eyes and questions.
And that’s exactly why I love them.
My 25 Goldback might be the last in this series for now, but the value it brings to my stack goes beyond its weight in gold. It represents the freedom to choose real money, the kind that doesn’t inflate or disappear with a swipe of a keyboard.
It’s also a conversation starter. A perfect way to open dialogue about sound money, artistic expression in currency, and how gold doesn’t always have to come in the shape of a coin or bar. The concept of spendable, beautifully designed fractional gold is still something that surprises people here, and I love being able to show them there’s a whole other side to stacking they might not have considered.
With my little run of Florida ALPHA Goldbacks, from the ½ right through to the 25, I’ve added variety, collectability, and a touch of international flair to my precious metals holdings. Each note brings something different to the table, and together they tell a story about where money has come from… and maybe where it could go again.
Would I love to carry on with higher denominations like the 50 or beyond? Absolutely. But for now, I’m content. This 25 Goldback is a golden full stop to an epic side project in my stacking journey—and one I’m incredibly proud of.
