Community silver: worth more than gold...

Every now and then, i like to ho bscknto my "community pour chest" and have a good rummage ariund the silver ive managed to accumulate, poured by the people ive met throughout my precious metals journey. I dont mean the mass produced mint quality stuff, or the bullion grade rounds mites by the thousands, i mean the limited mintage and the one of a kind treasure pieces.

This skull and cross bones piece was poured by our very own @raybrockman, one of the key founders of the community i now call home on steemit. This particular pour weighs in at a hefty 5.1oz of .999 silver. Back then silver was sub $20/oz and steem was riding high. So paying with steem has been a blessing.

I dont know if we will ever see sub-$20 silver, or $1+ steem again, but i do know that with out either(silver nor steem) i wouldnt be as financially independent as I am now.

Long gone are those glory days, yet here i am still reminiscing of those times, wishing i had invested more. I cant change the past, but i can keep posting about them, reminding all of us in the #steemsilvergold community of where we once were and where we came from.
